August 17th 2024 Real Estate in the USA changed

The Disney area is not a normal real estate market

With so much incomplete information provided by part-time real estate agents, Zillow, Homes.com and even Realtor.com to home buyers and sellers it’s hard to know what the costs are involving purchasing or selling of a home. We at Mickey Homes near Disney World believe in full disclosure of costs related to both sides of the contract. Did you know only 2 listing agents out of 28 homes for sale in Margaritaville in August of 2025 had the correct amount of homeowners association (HOA) dues on their listings? The same agents will not disclose what is included in the HOA dues, they rather put the same disclaimer “All buyers or their agents need to check with the HOA directly for this information” Honestly? The home sellers were either lied to or didn’t bother to do any research on the office or agent who they listed their home with because either way these agents are pathetic and should have their licenses revoked. That will not happen because NAR likes collecting their dues, the home sellers won’t complain because they don’t know as all of that important information home buyers need to determine if they want to buy in that neighborhood or can afford to close are listed in the MLS brokers remarks that are not public information. The good Realtors who fully disclose everything have to deal with these pathetic agents, ending up doing most of the work for both sides with no thanks from the home sellers because they don’t know. This Blog is from Mickey Homes, full disclosure of costs and the functionality of how real estate professionals should do their job for both buyers and sellers.  It’s 2025, and NAR is in trouble, soon there will be another association that will restore professionalism over handing out licenses to anyone who is willing to pay the dues.
